Not too many moons have passed since Blog #8 in the prior week, but word spreads fast around the globe regardless. Now that Whispers of White Sapphire’s manuscript is feature complete and ready for an editor to seize the rains, I decided to start a journey that I was convinced would take a couple months.
That is correct – I decided to keep an eye and an ear out for vocal talent that could assist me with voice narrating Whispers of White Sapphire!
Marcus Freeman assisted with the voice narration of A Sanctum of Swords: Embers Edition by himself – an immense undertaking to handle the performance on his own. I believe Marcus did a wonderful job voice narrating A Sanctum of Swords and in the aftermath of the audiobook’s production and release – I compiled some feedback overall about how the audiobook production process could have gone better from my end.
I believe A Sanctum of Swords had many characters, so many that Marcus and I almost ran out of voices to assign to the unique ones. Marcus did a great job keeping them consistent and adhered to their personalities and beliefs despite the sheer number of them.
Firstly, as a consequence of analyzing the collected feedback, I focused on fewer characters throughout Whispers of White Sapphire’s narrative.
Secondly, I also wanted to hire a female narrator to act out the female voices and share omniscient POV narrator with Marcus too.
I am proud and happy to announce that I’ve secured both a male and female narrator to voice Whispers of White Sapphire from beginning to end!
Marcus Freeman will be returning to perform the voice of Ara Zakarian and all male characters.
Laura Horowitz will be combining her voice with Marcus in a beautiful duet – performing the lead female roles of Sagra and Isra, in addition to the rest of the female character cast.
I am really excited by this alliance that has been created and am eager to hear them in action during the production phase. Now that I’ve mentioned that – when is the audiobook set to be released?
Whispers of White Sapphire’s audiobook production is set to begin in August 2025 with a likely release of the same month or September 2025. The Ebook, Hardcover, and Paperpack will release when the audiobook stands ready.
The editing phase for Whispers of White Sapphire will be performed from end of January to April or May timeframe if there are no delays. I will more than likely be working away on book #3, the sequel to A Sanctum of Swords, which might or might not still be titled The Reaper of the Mortal Sands.
I might be planning to reveal some cover art in Q1 next year as well!
